The Singapore River
It is when the sun goes down and the moon creeps up slowly into the sky,
the lights goes on suddenly and Boat Quay turns into a wonderland of nightlife.
It is only in the evening time that the city of lights turns into a playground of activities,
with something special for everyone irrespective of taste and preference.
There is one particular in Boat Quay that I would count as my favourite
spot to sit and ponder.
Because the breeze billows my hair into a tangled mess while
I lay my eyes onto the colourful, iridescent lights illuminated from
the hotels and restaurants nearby reflected on the waters of Singapore River.
This really gives me the tranquility to think and the inspiration to write.
To me, it is a great venue that had went through a facade and marketing revamp
that enables it to transform into a popular hangout with pubs,
cafes, clubs and restaurants.
Whatever it is, Boat Quay serves as a buddy whom had shared
all my ups and downs with me and it seems to me now
that my life would never be completed without you around.
